“Where The Water Cuts Through” has
a five member board of directors exclusively made up of
former Pueblo officials and tribal elders that have prominent
positions in government agencies and educational institutions
in Northern New Mexico, The defining element of the board
is there united belief that the status quo for handling
social issues in Northern New Mexico has not worked and
believe that culturally unique solutions to social issues
plaguing indigenous people in Northern New Mexico are the
answer.

Louis Naranjo Jr.
• Former Pueblo Governor and councilman, currently serves
in a leadership position for the South Side Kiva, San Ildefonso
Pueblo.
• Twenty-five year career at Los Alamos National Laboratories.
Vice President
Martin Agular Jr.
• Former Pueblo Governor and councilman.
• Career with the New Mexico Secretary of State specializing
in tribal election outreach and education.

San Ildefonso Pueblo.
• Serves in a management position for the city of Santa

Vincent Kaniatobe
Mr. Kaniatobe, Chief Executive Officer
for “Where
The Water Cuts Through” brings over twenty years
of experience in project management, budgeting, human
resources, communications and facilities management to
the position. His ability to relate to and communicate
with a wide variety of constituencies and his skills
in problem identifications and problem resolution will
serve the organization well. Mr. Kaniatobe has worked
for the College of Santa Fe and the California Institute
of the Arts and served as Tribal administrator and councilman
for the San Ildefonso Pueblo. In addition to his work
for his Native people, Mr. Kaniatobe has served the Governor
of New Mexico, Bill Richardson as a former Commissioner
with the Information Technologies Commission for the
state.
